December 2007
December 14, 2007
Well, obviously, there has been a large portion of time that I have just abandoned our weekly journal. As for now, it has become the “Quarterly Journal!” I apologize to those of you who faithfully check in with us to see how we are doing and where we are, and we thank you for your patience.
To bring you up to date, since the last entry, we have been in the Michigan area mostly, although we have traveled to North Carolina, Kentucky, Maryland and Washington D.C., Chicago, and Mackinaw Island at the tip of Michigan’s lower peninsula. The months of September through December have been used to minister at various churches, retreats and events and in the midst of all of that, record our 7th CD! This week, we will finish the final mix and send it away to be mass produced. I laugh as I am writing this (thank the Lord I can laugh about it) because we had a goal of completing the CD by the beginning of October. You know the verse that says we should say, “If the Lord wills, today I will go here or there….!” We are living it! That is, I must say, a very loose translation, but nonetheless, very true. So, we are finishing a couple of months later that what we planned…oh well.
You will be able to order the new CD online sometime around the first of the year.
Everyone here is great and the kids are busy trying to finish school for this first semester. We took a couple of weeks off during the recording…I just could not do it all. Experiencing the beauty of home schooling, once again, watching the kids get an entirely practical education as they watched the process of producing a CD. Through it all, we have just kept asking the Lord to keep us focused on the most important things instead of getting side tracked. So, as Randy is finishing the final mix, the kids and I are catching up on schoolwork and other items that had to go by the wayside.
The ministry throughout this whole year has been deeper and even more meaningful to us. We have seen numerous people give their lives to the Lord, pastors and their wives encouraged, couples recommit themselves to one another and countless people reminded of God’s plan of salvation. What a joy it has been to bring the good news to so many who want to know the God of all creation. Unfortunately, we have also seen others turn away from the truth of God’s Word and walk away from what they formerly believed. How heart breaking and devastating to watch as a precious soul travels a road that seems so right, but in the end leads to death.
We ask that you pray for us and ask the Lord to help us accomplish the tasks He has planned for us. Pray that He continues to mold us and that we would be faithful with that which He has given us. We are continuing to find that there is no greater joy than to know Him personally and watch as He produces fruit in our lives.
Have a blessed week!
