We figured it was about time we bring you up to date on what we have been doing for the last month!
In the past four weeks, we have had 10 concerts, 1 marriage seminar, numerous dinners with pastors and their families, booking concerts, home schooling work, songwriting (some great songs, I think!) and several RV repairs!
As you can see, we have been very busy with ministry and we are quite thankful for the concerts that have been added at the last minute. We had a few holes coming into our time in Florida and God came through again! I know I say this all the time, but He is so good to us! We are blessed beyond measure. The challenges of living in a 36-foot camper are well worth the blessings that we have experienced as He “equips those He calls.” That is what we are experiencing. Even when we stand up to sing and do not feel worthy or ready to lead others in worship, just bowing our hearts and wills to the Lord makes room for Him to align us to His plan. That is what we continue to learn: that it really is not about how good we are at something, it is about His unlimited ability to use anyone. Hopefully, that encourages you today…He can use you to reach your family, co-workers, friends and He can provide you with the courage and boldness that you need to do so.
We had a giant answer to prayer the other day. We were preparing our taxes and we were short a significant amount of money because we had to use it for RV repairs. We were praying about a certain number and respectfully reminding God of Malachi 3 and our faithful tithing and joyful giving. For some, they may think that is too bold and out of line, but it is all about the condition of the heart. None of us have a right to demand anything from God, but we know from scripture that we can move God’s hand…just look at Moses! So, we prayed and not even an hour later, God brought that money in - the exact amount that we needed and prayed for! For days, I reeled in His love and provision. It made me feel so loved and I knew He heard our cries for help. It also makes us realize the importance of giving when the Lord says to give. We have benefited when others give in a timely manner, so we should watch and learn.
The bible says that those who seek Him will find Him, but often times, we don’t really want to put the energy into seeking.
I think of this living with two males. Both my husband and my son have a natural born deficiency in finding items that are seemingly in front of their noses! Now, we have a very unique situation with living in the RV and not a whole lot of space to store things. So often times, it is really hard to find what you knew was right there a minute ago. But, generally speaking, if the thing they are looking for is not calling their name, they ask me where it is. I will often say, “Have you really looked for it?” And then I get up and go find it for them…it is just easier! Fortunately, Randy seeks the Lord with all of His heart and has found Him faithful! KC is learning the same, of course, on a nine year olds level. But there is an energy that we must put into seeking the Lord and discovering His plan for us. For some reason He wants us to look for Him. It takes diligence and perseverance on a consistent basis. “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” Those things are the things we need to live, food, clothes, money, job and the like. Matthew 6 talks just about that…not worrying about what we are going to eat or what we are going to wear. Tough, huh? The answer lies in seeking Him…
Be encouraged today, for He loves you.
