As I write this entry, I am enjoying the 75 degree weather of Phoenix, Arizona, with the RV door propped open while listening to lovely music that is wafting in from Randy and Greg sitting just outside working on their newest song. Both are great songwriters and together, I think we should come away with some great new material for worship! Greg and Glenda (the couple we have partnered with for January through the second week of March, are wonderful worship leaders and musicians. The concerts have gone quite well and we are all learning unique things from one another. “Iron sharpens Iron” is quickly becoming a scenario for which we are grateful! We also love having Mike and Janice Kennedy (they run sound and video for the Bostocks and have joined us for this tour as well) with us for these 10 weeks. They are all servants who have a heart for ministry that is contagious and they are a lot of fun to be around.
Every weekday, we meet together for a morning bible study that has been incredible. We are doing John Bevere’s video series called, “The Bait of Satan.” It is about offenses and forgiveness. It is life changing if you can make it through without caving into depression! Seriously, it has been very revealing and the Lord is purging things from us that we didn’t even know were there! It, actually, feels great to have the Lord dig deep and clean out hidden corners. Anyone who knows me knows how I love to reorganize and clean out cupboards and closets. Under the bed is a favorite place, too, as it is rarely seen. Usually, while cleaning, I make a bigger mess than was there before I began. But, slowly, as I throw out what shouldn’t be there, it makes room for what really belongs. That is what God is doing with me right now. It is kind of uncomfortable, but exciting at that same time. In order for Him to have the entire space of my heart to rearrange as He desires, I must get rid of what doesn’t fit.
Please continue to pray for us so that you can have a part in what God is doing with this ministry. We need you to continually petition the Lord for us, and ask God to bless our efforts. As we see people trust the Lord with their lives and difficult situations, it challenges us to do the same. Hopefully, you are around people who are hungry and searching after God.
Blessings to you…

I am sitting in a 5000 square foot ranch house that belongs to friends of the Bostocks. There is no one living here currently and it is built right on top of an oil field that extends for about ten miles. Fort Worth, Texas is a lovely place to spend a few weeks! We are so blessed to have this house to hang out in for the next month or so…between the Bostocks, Kennedys and our family of four, we need somewhere to go besides the coaches. So, far, our tour with Greg and Glenda has gone wonderfully and we are all enjoying being together more than we all expected. I am really trying to get as much done as possible with homeschooling while the guys are laying down new tracks, booking and writing songs. Creativity breeds creativity and there is quite a bit floating around here…Greg is a very good songwriter and with guitar in hand, he is constantly coming up with something new. Before you know it…Randy is at one of the keyboards doing his thing. They are having a blast just using their gifts.
Mike and Janice bring a myriad of talents to the table between mechanical knowledge, sound equipment, accounting, and the list goes on and on...for example:
Sunday afternoon we returned to the house after our morning concert only a mile away. As we were parking our RV behind the house where there is a big field that can accommodate all three rigs, we backed up over a septic tank and our rear driver’s side tires broke right through the lid of the tank! The RV immediately jerked and slanted to the left…the gaping hole in the ground permeated the smell of sewage and dirt! Oh…stink! Words cannot describe the feeling of knowing that we just broke someone’s septic tank. We had to leave it and go to Pastor Danny and Drenna’s house for dinner (the pastor of CrossPoint Nazarene Church where we sang that morning) knowing that it wasn’t going anywhere. It is a good thing we had somewhere to sleep that night! Our family slept in the house and waited for the commercial fork lift to come and rescue our coach. We took pictures and video of the whole thing…and as the fork lift raised the back end of the RV, one of kids said, “Now, there’s something you don’t see everyday!” And I hope I never do again.
What hole have you fallen in lately that you need a fork lift to raise you out of? God’s Word is the ultimate fork lift. It is strong and powerful for rescuing all of us who will only admit our hole is too deep to climb out of on our own. He is our source and redeemer…
