We have been in Fort Worth, Texas for the past several weeks with the Bostocks and the Kennedys. Greg, Glenda and Anna along with Mike and Janice left yesterday to head back to Utah, wrapping up this 2 ˝ month winter tour. We had our final concert together at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Greenville, Texas. Originally, the Bostocks had planned to return home last week, but we convinced them to stay with us one more week, as they are from the Assemblies denomination and we knew Crossroads would really appreciate their ministry. So, they extended their time with us for another week and we all got to minister together one last time. It was a great experience, meshing two ministries together and Randy and I learned a lot from the Bostocks, they are great worship leaders!
Mike and Janice are servants at heart and served so faithfully and willingly with whatever needed to be done. Mike ran sound and Janice took care of video and PowerPoint at every concert. Greg and Glenda use a lot of video and pictures during their concerts and it really adds a special touch to the whole experience. Both have worked in videography and they love photography so they encouraged us to make a couple of music videos while we were with them. We used Please Do it Again and I Am Home as our choices and you can view the videos on You Tube (www.youtube.com.) It was a new experience and watching the editing process was really interesting.
So now, we all move forward to serve, once again, in our own perspective ministries, missing our friends along the way and praying for them as they feed the body of Christ and lead others to Him. Thank you, Greg, Glenda, Anna, Mike and Janice for a great 10 weeks! What a great start to 2009! Let’s all meet up sometime … somewhere warm, of course!
We have been blessed with the opportunity since we came to Fort Worth, to stay in a 5000 square foot ranch house that no one lives in! We have been here (with the Bostocks and Kennedys) for several weeks and there has been room enough for all. Now, just the four of us are staying through the beginning of next week and it seems so quiet! It has been such a blessing and has allowed us many extras that we normally don’t get. A bathtub is a luxury!! Thank you Steve & Linda.
Kadison just returned from Lubbock, Texas with CrossPoint Church of the Nazarene, where he participated in the Kidsfest talent competition. He was in an ensemble, a drama and individually gave a speech and entered a clay sculpture that he designed and made. He returned with three gold medals and one silver (for the sculpture) along with a trophy for first place in his speech! He recited Isaiah 53:1-6 for his speech and apparently did well! We were unable to attend due to concerts and dear friends took him in our place. KC was walking on air when he got back, talking a mile a minute about the weekend. Eventually we will post pictures on the gallery with his sculpture and medals. Kennedy heads to Lubbock this weekend for her competition so she is feverishly working to prepare her artwork, solo and trio number. What an opportunity for our kids! We also enrolled them in a little dance studio two doors down from the house we are staying at…so they can have the experience of dance lessons. That has been a dream of theirs and they have had a blast.
We continue to learn that the Lord loves to give us good gifts and that He doesn’t always say “yes,” but when He does…it sure is fun!
Please continue to pray for us as we have been really busy with retreats, concerts and lots of people! It has been awesome and we have seen God stretch our dollars as we split the love offerings with the Bostocks for the past 10 weeks! God is just amazing and when He tells you to do something, He will provide the way. On top of that, we had RV repairs totally $2600.00! Who would have thought that during the 2 ˝ months of sharing offerings, we would have enough to cover those costs? God is so creative and generous…and so are you, who have shared your hard earned resources with us to help spread the news of Christ. Thank you!! Have a great week and be encouraged that God can do anything…
