April 2010

April 26, 2010

If you have been looking at our calendar, you can see that we have been incredibly busy with concerts and retreats.  It has been a month filled with opportunity and Holy Spirit encounters.

The month began with a great Easter celebration with Harvest Field Church in Parrish, Florida.  Pastor Terry and Bonnie have become just like parents to us (they would have been awfully young), and we ate Easter dinner at their home.  Easter week was full with a foot washing service, Seder Meal, Sunrise service and of course, Easter morning celebration.  We just kept celebrating His work on the cross and His resurrection!  It was a week filled with Christ focused activity…our family watched The Passion of Christ and was amazed again at His incredible love for us.  The whole week was one of the most meaningful Easter celebrations to me yet.  We are grateful for church families like Harvest Field who become “home” to us as we travel the country.  The Lord uses different flocks along the way to minister to our family in unique and meaningful ways that meet our needs and act as cups of cold water.

Culture shock occurred when we traveled from the Sunshine State to Sault Saint Marie, Michigan.  It is located at the top of the Upper Peninsula and across the bridge is Canada.  We went from flip flops to snow boots!  Incredible.  I don’t think our systems have adjusted yet!   It was an awesome weekend retreat with Women Today and we saw the Lord work in power and mercy as He drew women to His side.  One lady who was there was dealing with her husband who had just attempted suicide.  Thankfully, the Lord is moving in that situation.  These are the types of situations that God is allowing us to minister to…and we need His anointing!  What a weekend…at least four women that we know of…gave their lives to the Lord for the first time!  Hallelujah!

April has been a blur.  Now we are in the Waterford area, parked at our home church.  Home feels nice.  Strange, but nice.  It is great to have our dog with us and Amber, our niece has enjoyed the tour.

Thank you for praying for us and catching up with what the Lord is doing with our ministry.  Blessings to you!
