God continues to amaze us with His generous provision. He is like the ultimate puzzle maker!
Amber, our 19 year old niece who has been traveling with us since February, wanted an adventure for the summer. We began praying about mission trips and jobs, which led to the job she landed. Are you ready for this? Amber was hired as an accountant’s assistant at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island! Within one week she accepted the job and we moved her to the island (where she miraculously was given her own room versus 1, 2 or 3 roommates!) for her first experience on her own! Here is what blows my mind. We own a VW Jetta - back in February, we told Amber that she could buy the car from us when we all got back to Michigan. It was one way we could help our young niece just starting out on her own. She was thrilled – it is her dream car. But, when we arrived in Michigan, the pastor who was borrowing the car while we were gone, asked to buy it. We prayed and felt the Lord telling us to sell it to the pastor. We talked to Amber to get her thoughts and while tearing up, said, “As disappointed as I am, I think the Lord wants you to sell the Jetta to the pastor. Go ahead.” We felt bad, but we were so proud of her for following the leading of the Holy Spirit! As we soon realized, God sent Amber to the ONE place on the continental United States where you CANNOT have a car. After she got the job, she looked at me and said, “Aunt Mar! The Jetta!” We knew why the Lord redirected the sale of the car and what is even better is that a growing young lady heard and obeyed the voice of God. That is worth it all! She is doing great and loving the Bible church on the Island. We will be there is a few weeks to minister and will of course, enjoy spending a couple of days with Amber. What an adventure that God has granted her!
While all of those plans were taking place, we were asked to return to the same parsonage in Waterford at Lifepoint Church. Because it is available again, Pastor Rick Bosnack and his board offered for us to stay in the house until they hire a staff person in need of housing. We do not know when that will be…so we prayed and decided to bring most of our belongings to the three bedroom 2 bath house! An oven, washer and dryer and bathtub! We have taken so many baths in the last couple of weeks…it makes up for over 3 years in an RV! This year, more than any other, we have a lot of concerts in the Michigan area, so we will enjoy making this our home base. Again, we are blown away by God’s provision for us. I am overwhelmed at how he takes care of us and directs our steps. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things will be added unto you.”
The first two weeks of concerts at Freedom Life in Milford and Colling Nazarene went really well. The situations that people find themselves in need the touch of the Lord and we are so honored to pray with people. We were able to pray over a lady with ovarian cancer who knew the Lord was telling her to ask for healing. I can’t wait to see what He does! Faith is growing…roots are deepening and love is flowing. We are watching as God’s family is trusting in His word and believing what He has declared. Miracles are happening.
We prayed for a man who had fallen out of a four story building and suffered for six years with a back injury. We anointed Him with oil and prayed…he called us that night at 11 PM with news of being healed!! We don’t know why God heals sometimes and other times not, but we know He loves everyone we pray for and that He knows best.
We pray that you are seeing God move in your life and your family…pray, pray, pray! He is faithful and loves you very much.
Have a great week and thanks for your patience with our entries! Blessings to you!
