September 2010

September 14, 2010

The last month has been wonderful as we have had great opportunity for much ministry and contact with a lot of people.  We have watched as hungry souls have stood to their feet requesting prayer for a deeper walk with Christ.  There is nothing like seeing a person surrender their heart to Jesus…whether they are 8 or 80.

On Saturday night a lady in her 80s gave her life to the Lord for the first time…

With retreats, concerts and special events our calendar has been full and yet we have been able to form some sort of structure for the kids as a new school year has just begun.  Someone said to me once, “I would love your job – all you do is sing on Sundays!”  Hmmm…

Anyway – we opened our mail yesterday to find our passports in hand.  As we prepare for the Fall events, we look forward to traveling into Canada for a brief few days.  So, the passports were a definite necessity!  It has been a long time coming and when you travel as much as we do, we really should have had them all along.  The kids are thrilled to have their own passport and we even love every picture.

Here is what the Lord is teaching us as we continue to serve Him day by day:  The wellspring of life is truly Jesus and when my cup is empty and the well seems to have gone dry, I need to look no further than my alone time with Him.  He is our source and confidant and every one of my heart’s cares, needs and burdens are to be attended to by walking into His operating room…there is where I can get a heart transplant.  That is what I need…more compassion, mercy, grace, forgiveness, self control, love, peace, joy, patience…

Join me?

May He place His arms of love around you today.  Please continue to support us through prayer.  We are blessed because He ministers so beautifully day by day.

Have a great week.
